We Are Intramuros Episode 4: Revolutionizing Sustainable and Eco-friendly Tourism

Five years ago, Bryan Benitez McClelland introduced Bambike in Intramuros until it was fully established into Bambike Ecotours. It was a welcome addition to the Walled City not only as an option for transport but to showcase sustainable tourism through guided activities and guided tours using the bamboo bike.

Since then, Bambikes is a staple for group tours and activities. With the handcrafted bike made from bamboo and its unique Filipino design, exploring the streets and sites in Intramuros has become more eco friendly.

Bambike Ecotours has also opened its Batala Bar next to its shop at Plaza San Luis Complex. Visitors may now enjoy a leisurely tour of the Walled City and cap it off with some drinks at the bar. Trully, Intramuros with its partnership with Bambikes continues to create something new in the old world, in our beloved Walled City of Manila.
