National Museum of Natural History - Philippines
Welcome to the National Museum of Natural History.
This is one of the buildings under the National Museum of the Philippines or NMP where students, friends and families can enjoy and appreciate the Philippine Biodiversity for free.
It houses different collections of some research divisions of NMP such as fossils, minerals and rocks collected by the Geology and Paleontology Division.
The Botany and Herbarium Division, together with the Zoology Division show us our unique animals, plants and forest formations by bringing us from the top of the mountain, forest, caves, wetlands, down to the deep blue sea.
We are proud to say that since it opened 2 years ago, May 18, 2018, the National Museum of Natural History alone was visited by 1.6 million people not only from the Philippines but from different countries across the world.
They were happy for seeing a said to be a world class architectural and interior design, preserved skin of breathtaking animals like Lolong and the Philippine Eagle, replica of plants, dioroma of forests, and many more.
Most of the animals and plants are endemic here in our country. But, our goal here is not to only to inform our visitors on how rich the Philippines for having these, but we also encourage all of us to protect and preserve our natural resources.
We have lots of ideas in stored for you to comeback and encourage others to come and learn more about our environment, because the National Museum of the Philippines will continue doing its purpose to acquire, document, preserve, exhibits and foster scholarly study and appreciation of art, specimens, and cultural and historical artifacts.
Thank you and See you!
